This book is a guide to project management from a very practical perspective, and it acts as an overview which outlines the fundamental components of project management. The general rationale for the book is that management by projects has become the most important driver of change within organisations and in collaboration between organisations. Hence, every employee – and participants of any serious undertakings – must be familiar with the basic aspects of project management and be able to apply related skills, as a leader or participant. The book aims to provide the reader with a straightforward, comprehensive understanding of the basics of project management. It is a somewhat traditional and practical project management textbook, heavily focused on project planning and the project life cycle. The book Projec Ethics by Haukur Ingi Jonasson and Helgi Thor Ingason was published in 2013 by Gower (presently Taylor & Francis). The book – which aims to demystify the field of ethics for project managers and managers in general – takes both a critical and a practical look at project management in terms of success criteria, and ethical opportunities and risks. The goal is to help the reader to use ethical theory to further identify opportunities and risks within their projects and thereby to advance more directly along the path of mature and sustainable managerial practice. Project Ethics opens with an investigation of the critical success factors in project management. It then illustrates how situations can arise within projects where values can compete, and looks at how ethical theories on virtue, utility, duty and rights can be used as competence eye-openers to evaluate projects. The reader is challenged to think of their project management experiences where questions of competing values surfaced, and mirror them in short vignettes taken from real practice from all round the globe. Finally, a new method is introduced, based on classical ethical theory, which can help project owners, project managers, project teams and stakeholders, to identify, estimate and evaluate ethical opportunities and risks in projects. Bókin var gefin út af JPV/Forlaginu árið 2011. Stefnumiðuð stjórnun hefur breiðst út á undanförnum árum og er orðin eðlilegur þáttur í starfsemi fjölmargra fyrirtækja, stofnana og félagasamtaka. Starfsmenn og félagsmenn þessara skipuheilda eru í vaxandi mæli kallaðir til þátttöku í mótun stefnu. Þessi bók er skrifuð sem kennslubók fyrir nemendur á háskólastigi en hún gagnast ekki síður sem handbók fyrir fólk í atvinnulífinu sem vill auka þekkingu sína á stjórnun og verkefnavinnu. Markmiðið með henni er að gera lesendur færari um að taka þátt í, skipuleggja og stjórna verkefnum. Bókin var gefin út af JPV/Forlaginu árið 2012. Samskiptafærni er eitt af því allra mikilvægasta sem kunna þarf skil á í hvers kyns verkefnavinnu og verkefnastjórnun. Bókinni er ætlað að efla samskiptafærni lesenda, einkum þeirra sem hafa mannaforráð og vinna í verkefnahópum og teymum. Hún er í senn kynning á nokkrum mikilvægum kenningum um hópa og handbók um hvernig má bæta samskiptin í samvinnu við aðra. Um leið er leitast við að upplýsa fólk og vekja til umhugsunar um eitt og annað sem upp kemur þegar starfað er í hópum, og þegar hópum er stjórnað.

Bókin Gæðastjórnun – Samræmi, samhljómur og skipulag eftir Helga Þór Ingason kom út hjá JPV/Forlaginu vorið 2015. Undanfarin ár hefur gæðastjórnun fest sig æ meira í sessi. Sífellt fleiri íslensk fyrirtæki innleiða stjórnkerfi samkvæmt ISO-stöðlum og þörfin fyrir fólk með faglega þekkingu á gæðastjórnun eykst stöðugt. Þessari bók er ætlað að varpa ljósi á gæðastjórnun sem fræðigrein og hagnýta aðferðafræði og stuðla að því að hún nýtist í samfélaginu. Bókin rekur sögu gæðastjórnunar í stuttu máli en megináherslan er á samhengi hennar í samtímanum og hvernig hún nýtist í rekstri hvers kyns skipulagsheilda. Bókin er yfirgripsmikil og fróðleg bók um árangursríkar stjórnunarkenningar og stjórnunaraðferðir í fyrirtækjarekstri. Veitt er yfirsýn yfir ýmsar rannsóknir og kenningar á sviði afburðastjórnunar. Meðal annars er fjallað um hvað afburðastjórnun felur í sér, hvernig afburðaárangur er skilgreindur og hvaða fyrirtæki geta kallast afburðafyrirtæki. Mikil áhersla er á að skoða ýmis stjórnunarlíkön eins og EFQM líkanið, til að skilja hvernig meta má árangur í rekstri skipulagsheilda út frá margvíslegum vinklum. Fjallað er um ýmsar vinsælar stjórnunaraðferðir eins og straumlínustjórnun (lean) og hvernig hrinda má breytingum í framkvæmd innan fyrirtækja, til að breyta menningu, auka skilvirkni og bæta getu til að mæta kröfum viðskiptavina. Í bókinni eru fjölmörg dæmi úr íslensku viðskiptalífi.
